Home Fire Safety Checks
These are offered free of charge by the Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service. The checks are targeted primarily at the more vulnerable groups in the community, such as the elderly, people living alone and those with reduced mobility or other issues.
Referrals for Home Fire Safety Checks can also be made through other agencies, but if you have an elderly family member, friend or neighbour who might benefit from a visit, then please get in touch and request one on their behalf.
When an appointment is made, for the Community Safety Team from the Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service to visit, a range of safety advice to keep you and your family safe will be given, smoke alarms will be installed where needed and the team will encourage you to work out an escape plan, specific to your home and circumstances.
