Safer Streets Woodrow was a £430,000 crimefighting project to tackle neighbourhood crime
in the Woodrow area of Redditch.
Redditch Borough Council, West Mercia Police, and the
West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner received Safer
Streets 2 Funding, a government scheme, to improve the
security and safety of every home in Woodrow Centre,
Ombersley Close, and Rushock Close.
Alongside the improvements to public areas, Safer
Streets Woodrow offered landlords and homeowners the
opportunity to improve security in their homes and local
community groups were able to get involved in the efforts
to improve the neighbourhood.
