Reporting a Hate Crime
You should always report a hate crime to the Police by calling 999 while a crime is taking place or 101 if it has taken place in the past.
A hate incident is defined as "any incident, which may or many not be a criminal offence, which is perceived by the victim or any other person as being motivated by prejudice or hate".
If you wish to report a non-criminal hate incident you can report it by completing one of the forms and submitting it in the appropriate way, calling the Police on 101 or reporting online at
